2000 Mules

We watched the movie 2000 Mules with some friends the other night and there is definitely something wrong in this country. It may be the country I grew up in when I think of past elections and everyone who is from the Chicago area laughing at the corruption of the Chicago Democratic machine. The idea that elections have always been safe and secure is certainly false. People are sinful and some in that sinfulness do not care about circumventing truth and integrity to get what they want. We see it every day at a national and state level - I believe more prevalently in the Democratic party, but certainly with what is now termed “the establishment”. This is why we must insist on knowing where Politicians faith stands first. I believe if someone is not a believer in Jesus Christ he or she is much less likely to serve people with Integrity and seeking truth in thinks that effect their constituency and are more likely to be self serving. That is just my opinion, but think about it. Christians are sinful too, but those that don’t hide their faith in the public square are much less likely to lie to you. That is certainly my policy - to

speak the truth - even if it is not convenient. I am a sinner who false short of God’s perfect standards daily, but I am striving with His help to be more like Him all the time. Insist on knowing what your political leaders believe First and it will go a long way towards helping you know how they will handle situations as they come up.
